Delivery Day

Hey lovely people, today is Delivery Day!
One of the most exciting things is when a shipment arrives from India and I can finally see and touch the blankets - aren't they just amazing?

These kantha quilts are made from old, disused fabrics and thousands of hand stitches are used to decorate the entire surface of the quilt. The sides of the quilts have different patterns, so there are always surprises in the unpacking, and it is already very exciting to imagine those wonderful reversible pieces that will be created from them.

It's been beautiful spring weather for days now, so these gorgeous colours are adding to the spring mood of these days and inspiring the design process, which is in full swing as we prepare for the renewal of TAANKA!
